At this year's EUROMOLD in Frankfurt, HASCO, the leading manufacturer of standard mould units and the specialist in all aspects of hot runner technology, will showcase a wide range of sophisticated and dependable solutions for the following fields:

Quality steel

The choice of the steel has a major influence on the economic efficiency of mould construction and the service life of the mould. Investing in high-quality mould steel such as 1.2099, Toolox 33, or Toolox 44 soon pays for itself. Materials expert Klaus Zimmermann will talk about this at the EUROMOLD Exhibitor Lecture Forum on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 11.45 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. The new P8000/... round plate range also covers a large number of high-quality steel grades.

Demoulding

The new round latch locking unit Z178/…, which is mounted inside the mould, is a new and particularly compact HASCO product for accurate control of the mould opening process. The pneumatic ejector coupling Z1680/… is equally compact and powerful, making mould set-up easier and safer. The comprehensive product range with latch locking units, two-stage ejectors, transmission elements and collapsible cores for demoulding internal threads and undercuts offer the user customised application possibilities.

Temperature control

A wide range of cooling elements dissipate the heat from the cavity at every desired position and thus ensure optimum cycle times. The product line starts with the entire range of hose and connections, through spiral cores and diverting elements, and ends with individual conformal laser-generated cooling channels – situated precisely where they are needed and not where there happens to be space or where conventional machining allows. Special mention should also be made of the new safety couplings Z80700/…, with a bayonet feature which prevents unintentional unlocking. The new diverting plug Z9675/... is used for diversion when a collision between the cooling channel and ejector bore is unavoidable, allowing maximum flexibility in mould design.

Hot runner technology

In the hot runner segment, HASCO will highlight various needle valve solutions as well as innovative solutions for difficult gating positions in manifold tools, such as the Z10440/...multi-nozzle for side gating. With the Multimodule Z3280/... several gating points can be accommodated in a minimum of space. Two new control units have also been added to the range. The Z1264/... succeeds the Z126/... and, with the Multi hot runner control unit Z1240/..., HASCO is offering a unit of the highest class in terms of efficiency, convenience and reliability. HASCO's technical service department will find the optimum solution for your specific application and can provide a broad range of standardised nozzles and hot runner elements in combination with special solutions anywhere in the world.
